Boston Scientific Corporation held its inaugural “Healthy Doses” seminar at the Boston Scientific Auditorium, located within the newly established La Familia Health and Wellness Center. This seminar series was designed to promote wellness in underserved communities, military families, and rural areas, covering a broad range of topics—from physical fitness and nutrition to mental health and emotional well-being. Attendees were also given access to additional resources through STEM City USA, which offers digital tools and expert advice for maintaining healthy lifestyles.
The La Familia Health and Wellness Center represented a major step in Boston Scientific’s community engagement, backed by a $200,000 investment. This facility aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare access by offering on-site vision care, preventive screenings, and educational services. It also integrated telemedicine solutions to reach individuals facing barriers to traditional care. Through this initiative, Boston Scientific delivered essential health services while empowering residents with knowledge and tools to take control of their well-being. The “Healthy Doses” seminar series marked the beginning of a long-term commitment to holistic community health and education, aligning innovation in medical technology with grassroots impact.
